  • The invite rate for applicants scoring above 700 is quite high. A majority of applicants with scores above 700 have received an interview invite from Dartmouth Tuck
  • The invite rate for scores 700 and above is more than 75%, however, the admission to application ratio is lower for scores below 730.
  • If we consider the admit rate, a range between 730 to 770 seems optimal with the admit rate being more than 50% for scores in this range
  • It is worth noting that 11 out of 12 applicants with a score of 740 were called for interviews and 10 of them successfully secured admission to Dartmouth Tuck.

From the data of applicants who updated their admission status on GMAT Club, a total of 13 candidates were waitlisted. Out of these, 3 candidates with scores 730 (2) and 780 (1) were able to get off the waitlist and got the final admission letter from Tuck.

Considering the above analysis and taking all factors into account, we recommend a score of 730 or higher as a good GMAT score for Dartmouth Tuck.   • 18 received an interview invite
  • 5 secured admission at Dartmouth Tuck (GMAT Scores 770, 760, 760, 750, 750)

Evidently, while 18 Indians received an interview invite, only 5 of them were finally admitted- the conversion ratio is just about 27%. No Indian below a score of 750 received an admission. We also took a quick look at the data for the class of 2020 and found a similar situation with the majority of Indian candidates who received the admit offer having a score of more than 750.  Hence, the earlier recommended score of 730 jumps to 750 for Indian applicants. A good GMAT score for an Indian candidate applying to Dartmouth Tuck is a score of 750 or higher.
