Should I Take the CAT or the GMAT for Indian Business Schools?

IIMs accept GMAT scores for MBA admissions into their 1-year full-time MBA programs. However, for their 2-year PGP programs, Indian students are required to submit CAT scores. If you live outside India, then it may be possible to submit GMAT scores instead of CAT scores. This is also applicable for Non-Resident Indians (NRI) who hold Indian passports but are living outside India for more than 6 months. In any case, it is always a good idea to visit your target programs admissions requirement page to confirm the same, as these policies vary from school to school.
