Solution
Given
In this question, we are given
- The dimensions of a ream of paper are 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches by 2 1/2
To Find
We need to determine
- Which of the given options could be the inside dimensions of a carton that will hold exactly 12 reams of paper.
Approach & Working
The volume of 1 ream of paper = 8 1/2 * 11 * 2 1/2
- Thus, the volume of 12 reams of paper = 12 * 8.5 * 11 * 2.5 = 2 * 6 * 8.5 * 11 * 2.5 = 2 * 8.5 * 11 * 6 * 2.5 = 17 * 11 * 15
Hence, the correct answer is option B.
