How to reschedule your GMAT exam?
Rescheduling your GMAT exam is easy. Just follow this 7-step process and you’ll be able to book a new GMAT appointment without any hassle. You’ll need 5-10 minutes to complete the GMAT reschedule process.
How to reschedule GMAT exam in 7 steps:
- Step 1 – Log in to your mba.com account
- Step 2 – Select the GMAT exam you wish to reschedule
- Step 3 – Choose the new GMAT appointment date
- Step 4 – Review the new GMAT appointment
- Step 5 – Confirm your personal information
- Step 6 – Agree to GMAC’s policies
- Step 7 – Pay the GMAT reschedule fee
How to reschedule your GMAT exam?
If for some reason you want to reschedule your GMAT exam then follow this 7-step process and reschedule your test in less than 15 minutes.
Total cost: Depends on a 3-tier system. If the exam is rescheduled:
More than 60 days before the appointment
At a test center- USD 55
Online- USD 60
15-60 days before the appointment
At a test center- USD 110
Online- USD 120
14 days or less before the appointment
At a test center- USD 165
Online- USD 180 0
Total time: 15 minutes
Log in to your mba.com account
The first step is to log in to your mba.com account. Keep your username and password handy before logging in.
Select the GMAT exam you wish to reschedule
Once you’re logged in, you’ll see the ‘My Account’ section. In the ‘exams’ section, search for the GMAT appointment you wish to reschedule. You’ll see two options in green; Reschedule and Cancel. Click on reschedule. Take a look at the below image to understand in a better way.
Choose the new GMAT appointment date
Once you click on ‘reschedule’ you’ll be taken to ‘reschedule your GMAT exam’ page. If you wish to change your test center, click on the ‘change test centers’ option on the bottom left of your screen.
If you wish to keep the same test center then select the new GMAT appointment date and time. Once you do this activity you’ll be automatically transferred to the next page.
Review the new GMAT appointment
Once you have selected the new GMAT appointment, the website will ask you to verify if the new date and time chosen by you is correct. If you feel the new date and time are correct, click on ‘complete reschedule’ button.
Confirm your personal information
Once you click on the ‘complete reschedule’ button, you’ll move on to the next page. This page will ask you to confirm your personal information. If the information is correct then click on ‘next’ at the bottom right of the page.
Agree to GMAC’s policies
Once you confirm your personal information, this page will ask you to read and agree to GMAC’s policies. The page will explicitly mention three pieces of information that you have understood:
I will be charged a fee for Rescheduling and/or Cancelling the GMAT Exam
I must provide biometric data as a part of the GMAT Exam security process including a photograph and palm vein scan
I must present proper ID or will not be allowed to sit for the GMAT Exam and will not receive a refund
Click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page if you agree to GMAC’s policies and click on ‘next’ at the bottom right corner.
Pay the GMAT reschedule fee
GMAT reschedule fee is based on a 3-tier system. Here is the GMAT reschedule fee:
$55 ($60 for the online exam) – More than 60 days prior to appointment
$110 ($120 for the online exam) – 15 to 60 days prior to appointment
$165 ($180 for the online exam) – 1 to 14 days prior to appointment
The GMAT reschedule fee is no longer $60 as shown in the image.
Once you pay the GMAT reschedule fee, you’ll receive a confirmation mail. This confirmation mail will include information on your new GMAT appointment date and time, identification requirements, contact information, and direction to the test center.

How to cancel GMAT exam appointment in 3 steps
If you wish to cancel your GMAT appointment, you can do so very easily. Just follow this 3-step process and you’ll be able to cancel your GMAT effortlessly.

- Step 2 – Select the GMAT exam you wish to reschedule
- Step 3 – Cancel your GMAT exam

The first step to cancelling your GMAT exam is logging in to your mba.com account.
Step 2 – Select the GMAT exam you wish to cancel
Once you’re logged in, you’ll see the ‘My Account’ section. In the ‘exams’ section, search for the GMAT exam you wish to cancel. You’ll see two options in green; Reschedule and Cancel. Click on cancel. Take a look at the below image to understand in a better way.
Step 3 – Cancel your GMAT appointment
You’ll move on to the page as seen below:
GMAC has revised the cancellation fee based on a 3-tier system. Here is the updated GMAT cancellation fee(test center exam):
- $165 ($110 refund) – More than 60 days prior to appointment
- $190 ($80 refund) – 15 to 60 days prior to appointment
- $220 ($55 refund) – 1 to 14 days prior to appointment
Click on the checkbox to agree to GMAC’s policies.
Once you click on confirm cancellation button, your GMAT exam will stand cancelled.
GMAT Reschedule fee
GMAT reschedule fee is based on a 3-tier system. Here is the GMAT reschedule fee:
- $50 – More than 60 days prior to appointment
- $100 – 15 to 60 days prior to appointment
- $150 – 1 to 14 days prior to appointment
GMAT Cancellation Fee
Previously, you used to get a refund of US $80 if you cancel your GMAT exam more than seven days before your appointment and no refund within seven days of your appointment.

- $165 ($110 refund) – More than 60 days prior to appointment

What are the modes through which I can reschedule or cancel my GMAT exam?
You can cancel or reschedule your GMAT exam either online or by phone. If you reschedule or cancel by phone, you will have to pay an additional service fee of US $10.
Can I make changes to my GMAT exam date, time, or venue 24 hours before my scheduled GMAT appointment?
You cannot make any changes 24 hours prior to your scheduled GMAT appointment.
