Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. Do Sectional Mocks use the same question bank as SIGma-X mocks?
    • Sectional Mocks do not use the same question bank as SIGma-X mocks. Rather, the Sectional mocks use the Scholaranium question bank. In fact, once you take a SIGma-X mock, our system adds the leftover questions in Scholaranium, potentially increasing the number of fixed mocks.
  2. How many mocks if I take the required number of cementing quizzes?
    • Our goal is to provide you with at least 10 Sectional Mocks after you take the required number of cementing quizzes in each section (Quant, Verbal, DI). Note, the number of sectional mocks reduced if you take custom quizzes from the Scholaranium question pool.
  3. Are these mocks adaptive?
    • These are fixed mocks containing just Medium and Hard questions. These do not contain any easy questions.
  4. How do you ensure precision of scoring if these mocks are non-adaptive?
    • These mocks are designed to be taking post cementing. Hence, their scoring is most accurate in the Sectional Ability range of 50th percentile to 95th percentile. This accounts for 95% of our students.
  5. How do I estimate my overall score if I have sectional scores?
    • Use the Sum of Scores formula, if you have your Quant, Verbal, and DI scores in this article. A Sum of Score of 246 corresponds to a 645, 255 corresponds to 705, and 259 corresponds to a 735.
