Meet The Top Instructors

Payal Tandon

“If you take on a task, give it your 200%, or else don’t take that task on at all”. This is what Payal often tells her students, her team members, and even her daughter.

A perfectionist to the core, she gives everything her best without cutting any corners. No wonder she has been a topper throughout her academics. She was the topper (the absolute topper, not just 99 percentile) in the 12th grade State of Haryana board exam taken by more than 1 million people.

Pursing her passion of making learning effective and enjoyable, Payal is constantly thinking of better ways to impart skills to people – whether it is how to read a passage more efficiently, how to deconstruct a sentence, or how to train other experts. At e-GMAT, Payal oversees curriculum development, expert training, and all operational activities. In a nutshell, she is committed to the success of all e-GMAT-ers.

Shraddha Jaiswal

Shraddha is a gold medalist from Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) – India’s topmost institute for journalism that is more selective than Harvard Business School. A child prodigy – she scored better than 99.5 percentile in the entrance exam.

Shraddha joined e-GMAT on August 15, 2011 and single-handedly built the first product – OG Verbal SC Solutions – within the next 4 months. During this time, she also gained the status of most thanked expert on Beat The GMAT and GMAT Club. She has authored more articles on GMAT Sentence Correction and GMAT Reading Comprehension than any other expert.

Shraddha was adjudged as the Best Presenter in a competition held by GMAT Club in which experts from Manhattan GMAT, Veritas Prep, Kaplan, etc. participated. Her lecture on Reading Comprehension received 20000 views in a single day.

Rajat Sadana

Rajat mastered the skill of taking standardized tests at an early age by scoring better than 99 percentile on most exams including the CET (Indian equivalent of SAT), GATE (Indian equivalent of GRE including technical GRE), and the GMAT. Rajat stands out as one of the two students in the country who were selected by Nokia Research (NRC) Germany for a fully funded Master’s degree at IIT Delhi and subsequent internship at NRC Germany.

Post MBA (from Babson where he received full fellowship), Rajat was hired by Honeywell as a Marketing and Business Development Manager to grow its wireless business. During his 4 years at Honeywell, he helped grow the business from $2M to $25M. In August 2010, Rajat founded e-GMAT with Payal Tandon to fulfill his dream to democratize Test Prep education by leveraging technology to provide high quality, personalized, and effective education at affordable prices.

Chiranjeev Singh

A graduate from IIM, Ahmedabad, the best ranked B-school in India and top 30 in the world, Chiranjeev has a special affinity for aptitude tests. He scored 99.98 percentile on CAT, Indian equivalent of GMAT, and 770 on GMAT, both in his first attempts.

The maxim “Learning is the way of life” defines Chiranjeev’s approach to everything. Always seeking to better himself and understanding most complex things in a simple manner, Chiranjeev loves questioning the status quo. He strongly believes that the whole purpose of learning and knowledge is to build common sense, which transcends the boundaries of subject fields and knowledge domains; it’s no surprise that his initial “CS” is same as that of common sense.

Krishna Chaitanya

Krishna is a graduate from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad and has always been a consistent topper in many aptitude exams. His most recent achievements are a 99.90 percentile in CAT, considered the Indian equivalent of GMAT and one of the toughest management entrance exams in the World, and a 99.94 percentile on XAT, one of the toughest management entrance exams in Asia.

He has always believed that every person is equally capable of learning and that it is only the opportunities and surroundings that affect a person’s capacity to learn. With the best GMAT verbal experts as his colleagues, Krishna considers e-GMAT as the ideal platform for him to be one of the best instructors in the world.

Meghna Mudaliar

Meghna has helped over 1000 students ace GMAT Verbal. She has a PhD in English and has been teaching since 2001. A consistent topper, she won the gold medal for the highest rank in both her higher secondary and college courses. Moreover, as a Master’s student, she was among twelve writers selected by the British Council for a residential writing workshop with the Booker Prize winner Bernice Rubens.

GMAT Verbal is one of Meghna’s favourite things, because it’s helped her discover a lot of cool stuff about the craft of language and the art of reasoning. She believes that knowledge and skills should constantly evolve, and finds GMAT Verbal the perfect medium through which to hone her language and reasoning skills. She loves working at e-GMAT because she learns something new every day and gets to hang out with awesome people who also think that the GMAT is really fun.

Neeti Sohal

Neeti is an Economics Honors graduate who went on to study TV and Video Production at the prestigious Bournemouth University, UK. As a documentary filmmaker, she discovered very early in her professional life that she was blessed with the gift of making people comfortable in their own skins – a skill that she uses with aplomb in her live sessions.

Neeti has a sectional Verbal score of 44 on the official GMAT and is a certified ESL tutor who graduated in the top percentile of her class in the Cambridge University’s CELTA program. As a Verbal expert, Neeti has helped numerous GMAT takers cross the V40 barrier. At e-GMAT, she considers writing articles and responding to student queries the two biggest perks of her job.
