Hi Suhas. How did it feel after scoring a 750 on the GMAT?
I felt elated when I saw the score flash on my screen after the exam. Although I was a bit disappointed with the Q49, I was still able to pull off a 750 because of the V44. All thanks to the e-GMAT team.
How did e-GMAT help you with your Verbal preparation?
I was provided with a very detailed and systematic study plan that I should follow. This plan kept me in check all throughout and made sure that the proper foundations were laid before advanced concepts were introduced. eGMAT Verbal Live Prep was the reason why I was able to show 100 point increase over the course of my 3 attempts, going from V30 to V44 in 10 months.
According to you, what are the key features of e-GMAT courses that helped you?
The interactive audio visual modules followed by application files cemented the conceptual understanding. The instructor-led live sessions just took my application skills to the next level. e-GMAT showed that there is logic behind every step of solving a question – even in SC!
Which Verbal sections did e-GMAT help you with primarily?
I benefitted in all the three sections – SC, CR, and RC. I was able to tackle even the toughest SC questions with absolute ease thanks to the meaning-based approach. Similarly, the focus on understanding the given information and pre-thinking helped me increase my ability. eGMAT CR provided the tools to understand why is an option incorrect, be it out of scope, similarly worded but incorrect option, partially correct options, opposite choice etc. e-GMAT RC taught me how to be an active reader and helped me comprehend even the most complex passages with ease.
How did you find Scholaranium?
Scholaranium is a very useful tool and I will definitely recommend it to all the test takers. Scholaranium comes with an “ability” evaluation technique that tells where exactly do you stand (percentile wise) for a particular section (SC or CR or RC) or verbal (all sections combined). This was a very useful tool for me as I was able to do targeted practice for areas I was faltering on.
How about the live sessions?
The live sessions were very useful starting from the strategy sessions with Rajat to content based SC/CR and RC sessions. These live sessions would be repeated every month, so if you missed out 1 recording, you could go back and review it under your account page. The questions cited, reviewed and discussed during these sessions were very demanding and thought provoking. These sessions complement very well the course content presented via SC, CR and RC modules.
That’s wonderful to hear, Suhas. Anything else that you’d like to add?
I believe eGMAT is the best online course available that is total worth the money you spent. It is cheaper than the other course providers and yet provides extremely high quality content. Keep up the great work you guys are doing.
Thank you for your appreciation, Suhas. Wish you the best for your future endeavors.
Thank you Team e-GMAT.

Hi Sankalp. How does it feel scoring a 750 and a V42?
It feels great! Your verbal course is really a game changer and worth every dollar and probably more.
This is your second attempt at the GMAT. How much did you score in your first attempt.
I first attempted the GMAT in 2012 and scored a 680 (Q49, V34).
What steps did you take after your first attempt?
After 4 years of sitting on that score, I decided to retake the GMAT and my target score was 750. To achieve this score, I knew I had to significantly improve my performance on the verbal section. Before I joined a paid prep-course, I wanted to spend sometime preparing on my own and seeing how it goes. After 2 weeks of flying solo, I realized my efforts lack direction and it is better to join a properly structured course.
Why did you not join a classroom coaching?
Classroom courses are only as good as the instructor taking your class. As I am living in a small town, I knew that the trainers available would not be too good. At this point I was fairly certain that I need to enroll myself in an online prep course. This is when I decided to give e-GMAT a try.
How did e-GMAT help you with your verbal preparation?
Opting for e-GMAT was the best decision I made in my test prep. Let me just say that e-GMAT has decoded the mystery that GMAT verbal is for most non-natives. If you do their Sentence Correction module properly, you are set. I have become such a big fan of e-GMAT that I recommend the course to every aspirant I know.
Would you like to add anything else?
There is no magic pill to ace the GMAT. However, you can ensure the best possible returns from your effort if you take this course. I reached my target score of 750 in a little over 2 months.

Situation:
Stuck at 700
Hi Vivian. How does it feel to achieve the dream score of 770?
Feels wonderful. Although it took me quite a bit of effort to achieve this score, its worth every bit and will help me in securing a good admit.
That’s wonderful. Can you tell us a bit about your preparation before you enrolled with e-GMAT?
Before joining e-GMAT, I attempted the GMAT four times with scores of 630, 700, 720 and 710. I studied all the materials available and put in hundreds of hours into my preparation, but still couldn’t improve further.
What made you change your mind about your preparation strategy?
When I couldn’t achieve my target score in my fourth attempt too, I realized that acing the GMAT not only requires hardwork but also requires a proper preparation strategy.  I took a chance with e-gmat and bought the verbal online course. Given the fact that I got big fellowship from a top 15 school, I believe the two hundred dollars is probably the best investment I’ve made so far.
How did e-GMAT help you with your preparation?
The meaning-focused approach prescribed by e-GMAT worked very well for me and I thought it was the most logical way to tackle SC questions. This approach also improved my comprehension skills required for CR and RC as well. I cannot think of any better way to prepare for SC section.
Good to hear that. Did you do anything different regarding your approach towards the exam?
e-GMAT’s free webinars on GMAT Preparation Strategy are priceless! I say so because even if a test taker is proficient in every individual section, he/she may still not be able to achieve his/her best when all three types of questions are mixed together. Moreover, the GMAT is computer adaptive. The webinars addressed so many such useful aspects and equipped me with the right tools to create my own preparation strategy. There’s just so much useful information provided in those webinars.
Thank you for the appreciation, Vivian. We wish you all the very best for your future endeavors.
Thank you e-GMAT. You helped me raise my score from 710 to 770.

Hi Anirudh. Can you tell us a bit about your initial preparation?
Since I have graduated from one of the top engineering colleges in India, I never faced issues with quant section. Without much efforts I was scoring in the range of 49 - 51. However my pain point was the verbal section. I did not have proper structure in place for verbal preparation. Also, I could never develop the confidence of reaching a point where I could say that I would score > 35 in the verbal section despite exhausting my study materials such as Manhattan SC guide, Manhattan CR guide etc.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
I was so frustrated with my struggle to improve in the verbal section that, at one point of time, I even thought of putting my preparation on hold. That is when I stumbled upon e-GMAT Verbal Online course on Facebook. I realized that this course is tailor-made for people like me who are weak in Verbal. I immediately enrolled for the course and even today, I believe that this step single-handedly changed the course of my preparation.
How was the content of the course?
The course provides excellent quality content, I must say. The online video modules cover all the essential topics covered on the GMAT with exhaustive detail and impart methodical processes to be followed to solve any question on the GMAT.
How did Scholaranium help you?
Scholaranium is a very powerful platform to analyse ones performance/progress after one completes certain topics. Additionally it lets you set the topics you would specifically like to be tested on with attributes such as time, sub section, etc. Highly effective in my case. I used it extensively by filtering questions based on the topics I wasn't good at and started tracking my progress.
How was the support provided by the team?
Any concept or question related queries are addressed in the internal forums. These forums have tons of useful discussions and are a big knowledge repository. Whenever I had a query not related to any doubts, I would mail to the support team and they would provide me with prompt and effective responses. The eGMAT team also provides its users with a study plan. This is also very effective as it defines your goals for the course of your preparation.
Would you like to add anything else?
I have seen ample materials online but none comes close to the quality which eGMAT provides. Also, the verbal online course is priced at a very reasonable rate compared to products offered by eGMAT's competitors.

Hi Arun. How does it feel to achieve your target score of 710?
Thank you so much. I could achieve my target score today and I must say that the major contribution has been from your Verbal Online course. Your course is way way better than anything else in the market. You should start giving score increase guarantee even on your virtual course. It is so good.
Can you tell us what happened in the first attempt?
I had given GMAT a few months back. I took help from another test prep firm. However, there was no coherent structure to the preparation and so, I could score only a 640.
How did Verbal Online help you during your second attempt?
The program really explains the concepts thoroughly and in a concise manner. After going through a concept file, you really come out with the feeling of ‘ wow’. The Application Files continue that wow feeling by showing you how to apply the concepts you just learnt on GMAT-like questions.
How did Scholaranium help you in your preparation?
The explanation to each and every question is A-class. Just to give you a bit of insight: I gave a gmat prep just after completing concept section - i scored a 640. Then I took a month or two to complete scholaranium and my score straight away jumped away to 680/690. Scholaranium provides excellent insights into your strengths and weaknesses that you need to focus on for effective preparation.
Thanks Arun. Would you like to add anything else?
Thank you so much and keep doing the good work guys!

Hi Kavya. Heartiest congratulations on scoring a 730.
Thank you, team.
How was your preparation before e-GMAT?
Before subscribing to e-GMAT, I studied from multiple sources. But couldn’t achieve my target score..
How did you prepare with e-GMAT?
I followed the study plan diligently. Also, whenever I had any doubts, I used to re-listen to all the concepts, an activity that helped in strengthening the concept more.
What aspects of the course, according to you, helped the most with your preparation?
In SC questions, the stress on importance of meaning of the sentence was very crucial. In CR, breaking down the argument, pre-thinking, and forming a logical structure before the process of elimination really helped in improving my accuracy.
Glad the course helped you, Kavya. Would you like to add anything else for your fellow test takers?
One word – process. Frankly, like many other people, I used to think of e-GMAT process as lengthy and time consuming, but the same process helped me improve from 680(V32) to 730(V39)! If you want to ace the GMAT, focus on the processes taught in the course and apply them diligently throughout your preparation.
Thank you for your time and Wish you all the best for your future endeavors.
Thank you team e-GMAT.

Hi Sumeet. Congratulations on scoring a 730.
Thank you, e-GMAT team.
How was your preparation before e-GMAT?
I have studied from MGMAT SC guide extensively for my previous attempt. However, I could not fill the conceptual gaps and ended up with a V33 – much below my target score.
What aspects of the e-GMAT course, according to you, made the difference in your preparation?
Multiple aspects of the course such as the rich content, well placed examples, the amazing audio-visual lessons, the application files, and the coverage of concepts, etc. played crucial role in my scoring a V39 in my next attempt!
Glad the course helped you, Sumeet. Would you like to add anything else for your fellow test takers?
I give majority of credit to e-GMAT for my verbal score jump from 67%ile to 88%ile - for non-natives, verbal preparation is incomplete without e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep.

210 points

Situation:
Stuck in 500s
Hi Adam. You have seen a dramatic improvement in your GMAT score in this attempt. What happened in the first two attempts?
Before e-GMAT, I scored a 490 and a 530 on my previous attempts with a verbal score of 26, and I was devastated. I had used MGMAT's full book series for the first attempt and added in Magoosh's online prep for the second. After recovering from the results, I decided I would take the GMAT one last time. However, I was really in need of the right approach and methodology to tackle the GMAT.
As a native speaker, what prompted you to opt for e-GMAT?
Initially, I wasn’t sure whether e-GMAT works for me as I am a native speaker. However, after a bit more of research, I decided to go through their free trial and attend their free webinars. I realized that their teaching methodology works for anyone struggling with verbal in general. I immediately subscribed to their Verbal Live Prep course.
How did the approach at e-GMAT help you in your preparation? Is there anything specific that you followed in your preparation?
The approach and methodologies used to learn the concepts and solve the questions are without a doubt the reason for my verbal improvement. To get the most out of the live sessions, I made sure to complete the pre-requisites for the session so that the instructor can help you identify and address your true weaknesses. Speaking from experience, I can confidently say that live feedback such as this can really benefit your overall prep.
What aspects of the course helped in your preparation?
The course is carefully designed to help inculcate concepts, track progress and learn the application. This helps the learner to ensure progressive learning.
Can you give an example?
For example, at the end of each concept you are given a quiz. The quiz is not just a bunch of GMAT-like questions. It is a specialized quiz to reinforce what you have just learned. This is just one example. The course has been very well-designed keeping the average test taker in mind.
How much improvement did you see from the course?
I noticed a sharp spike in my verbal accuracy after completing this course and eventually, I scored a 700 with a V35 – a 9-point Verbal score improvement.I would strongly recommend the Verbal Live Prep course for anyone seeking an increase, big or small, in verbal score.
What advice would you give to your fellow GMAT aspirants?
Do not be afraid to go through all the verbal concepts more than once, if you feel the need to do so. Use the video concepts and recordings as many times as needed! Everyone has specific needs for effective preparation. For me, I needed interaction, videos, and hands on learning content, and Verbal Live Prep is the go-to course for these.

Hi Sourav. Congratulations on scoring 710. How does it feel to reach your target score?
Feels great, I must say.
How did e-GMAT help you?
After I subscribed to e-GMAT course I realized my shortfalls in my verbal strategy. I got everything I needed to crack SC and RC.
What aspects of the course helped you in the Verbal section?
Knowledge of sentence structure and attacking SC question by splitting the clauses was the key in improving on SC. The RC strategy too worked very well for me. Needless to say, pre-thinking was the key to my success in CR.
Glad to know that the course helped you Sourav. Is there anything else that you’d like to add?
A ton of thanks to the ace teachers of e-GMAT (Rajat, Payal & Shraddha)! I fully attribute my verbal success - V23 to V40 - to e-GMAT.
