Hi Vaibhav. How does it feel to achieve a 770 on your first attempt?
Feels great. Although this is my first attempt, I have been preparing on and off for over 2 years.
Oh, is it? Can you tell us a bit more about your preparation?
Initially, my preparation was very random. I was going through the Official Guide and randomly browsing forum posts on GMAT Club. This continued on and off till mid 2015, when I realized that I need a more structured approach if I have to ace the GMAT. That’s when I joined e-GMAT Verbal Online.
How did you prepare using Verbal Online?
Initially, I just quickly completed the course and consequently, was stuck at a 710-720 on the mocks. However, after booking my exam date, I studied more seriously using the course and was able to see significant improvement in my ability.
How did e-GMAT help you with the GMAT Verbal section?
Before enrolling for the course, my accuracy in SC was somewhere close to 50-60% in 700+ level questions. I realized that this is not enough if I have to break the V40 barrier. After studying using Verbal Online and consistently practicing the processes taught in the course, I could see a significant improvement in my verbal performace. Towards the end of my preparation, I was consistently scoring more than a V40 in each of the GMATPrep mocks. e-GMAT’s Verbal Course is worth every dollar spent.
Glad the course helped you, Vaibhav. Any preparation related advice that you’d like to give to your fellow GMAT aspirants?
Do not wait until you are in a situation where you can study for multiple hours everyday for 2-3 months. It is okay even if you study only for one hour or less some days. Do not procrastinate. Also, make sure to frame preparation strategy and follow a methodical process to solve questions in order to ace the GMAT

Hi Anupam. How are you doing?
I am good and quite happy, I must say. I am happy that I was able to crack the GMAT in my first attempt itself.
Can you tell us a bit more about your preparation?
I thought I would sail through the Verbal section of the GMAT as I was fairly comfortable with language in general. However, it took only a couple of mock CATs to cut me down to size. I realized I needed help in understanding some things and unlearning others.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
I came across e-GMAT on GMAT Club and attended a free webinar that Rajat hosts on Saturdays. I instantly connected with the way of teaching and hence decided to purchase the Verbal Online course.
What are your thoughts on the Verbal Online course?
The course is much more structured and comprehensive than any other course I have seen. It walks you through detailed instructions for every possible topic and the concept files are amazingly well organized. The topics are arranged in a fashion that makes it easy to assimilate. The practice provided in the course is brilliant and really makes you work on your concepts.
Glad to hear that the course helped you, Anupam. How did the SC portion of the course help you?
For SC, I think this is the best course there is. Before going through this course, I was a bit hesitant The concept files are exhaustive and I felt completely ready for SC after one pass through all files. SC became a strong point since the process really helped. The 3-step approach to SC is extremely helpful and makes the most challenging questions seem very easy.
How about the CR and RC portions of the course?
For CR, the pre-thinking approach demonstrated is brilliant. It really makes you take a good hard look at the argument before jumping to an answer, and I believe this is the only way to achieve both accuracy and speed in Verbal on the GMAT. The reading strategies provided for RC are something that work together brilliantly and helped me get into the right frame of mind to decipher even the most complex passages.
How was the support provided by the team?
The team at e-GMAT is extremely helpful. I panicked a bit during the last few days and shot an email out to them. However, Rajat personally responded and helped me calm down a lot. The team is friendly and really invests in your preparation.
Would you like to add anything else?
I owe my Verbal score of 41 solely to e-GMAT. The process and structure really helped me improve my skills. The way the concepts are taught, I am sure I will carry this knowledge throughout my MBA as well. Thanks for a great product and service!

Hi Rohit. How was your experience using the SC portion of the course?
After finishing just 2 levels of SC course, my verbal score jumped by around 5 points and the number of SC mistakes per mock test dropped from 8 per test to less than 4 per test.
That’s great! How about CR and RC portions?
The CR course really helped get my thought process right and fixed my CR basics problem. The data provided helped me understand that I made 70% of my mistakes in the Weaken and Inference CR questions. This helped me focus on these particular modules to improve my score further. The RC module was excellent too. The reading strategies helped me decipher complex passages easily.
What other aspects of the course did you like?
I would like to comment on the IR course as well. Not many people focus on IR, but I found that the Integrated Reasoning section of e-GMAT is extremely detailed and covers a large number of problems of varied types. This helped me a lot.
Glad that the course helped you, Rohit. Would you like to add anything else for your fellow test takers?
In less than 4 days, I noticed a considerable improvement in my accuracy while attempting the OG questions. Overall, I would highly recommend the e-GMAT course to EVERY non-native. It's a wonderful investment for an excellent verbal score.
Thank you Rohit. Wish you all the very best for your future endeavors.
Thank you Team e-GMAT.

Hi Anjan. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am 20 years old, currently a final year undergraduate student from Mechanical Engineering department,IIT Kharagpur.
What prompted you to take the GMAT?
I always had MBA as my long term goal but since I was shortlisted for the 2nd round of ISB's YLP program, I had to submit my GMAT scores before the deadline.
Can you tell us a bit about your initial preparation?
Before starting my prep I did go through some de-briefs. However, I did not realize how difficult it is to score above 700. I decided to give a mock and a shocking 610 on it was a big reality check for me.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
After my first mock, I realized that I seriously lacked the basic skills required for the Verbal section of GMAT.This was when I came across e-GMAT. I had attended one of the free webinars by Rajat and I fell in love with the concept of core skills. I immediately enrolled for Verbal Online and the course is definitely worth every penny invested!
What are your thoughts on the Verbal Online course?
The course is well paced. In fact, everything is so structured and systematic that you will be able to understand the toughest of concepts with ease. All the topics are extensively covered and the course is designed to test you at every stage and to provide you with ample practice at the appropriate junctures.
Would you like to add anything else?
I thank Rajat, Payal, Shraddha, and Krishna for all the courses and very prompt responses to queries. I owe my success completely to you guys! Thank you so much :)

What made you take the Verbal Live Prep course?
I took the e-GMAT VLP course with the intention of learning GMAT specific tips and tricks to crack the verbal component. However, soon, I realized that the course methodology is far above the simple tricks and is much more focused on building a test taker’s confidence and ability to tackle any verbal question.
How did e-GMAT aid your preparation?
eGMAT verbal not only gives you a comprehensive understanding of the aspects tested on the GMAT but also provides you a structured approach to tackle any surprise that the GMAT can throw. This I feel is a differentiating factor from other courses. I can guarantee you that if you follow the course structure as it is prescribed, you will be sure to achieve your target score.
How was your test day experience?
On the day of my exam, I was down with fever and was feeling miserable. However, I still managed to score a 720 with a V37. The diligent application of the process is what saved me, I believe.
Amazing that you were able to score a 720 while down with a fever. Would you like to say anything to your fellow test-takers?
VLP is the best verbal course for non-natives and one of the best courses for anyone in general. You will not regret it for sure.
Thank you Narendra! Wish you luck for your future endeavors.
Thank you e-GMAT team. You guys rock!

Improvement in less than 30 days
Hi Dennis. Can you tell us how long you prepared for the GMAT?
I had registered for the course a few months ago but had little time to study due to work constraints. I finally found two weeks of freedom to concentrate and prepare properly for the GMAT.
Amazing that you were able to achieve a V39 within 2 weeks. Can you tell us a bit more about your preparation?
I always struggled around the V33 area. So, I did an intense study prep by first watching the SC free webinar which was very useful for me in approaching each SC question. The three step approach was critical in edging me towards the 90%+ accuracy.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
As i researched for programs, I noticed that e-GMAT had a lot of good reviews from many GMAT Club users and it costs about 199 dollars for the English package. It is definitely worth it. If you want to get a feel before purchasing, please subscribe to the free webinar for SC, RC and CR to see for yourself. I am sure you would tread the same path :-).
What are your thoughts on the Verbal Online course?
The video format of the course is very effective, highly interactive and provides in depth knowledge of all the things you need to master SC. The course is organized and has a nice flow which helps you get the maximum learning out of it. I would strongly recommend this to anyone.
Glad to hear that the course helped you, Dennis. How were the free webinars?
The live sessions - especially on SC and CR - were absolutely fantastic. They helped me more than all the 100+ page guides I had read much earlier before getting bogged down and taking a break.
How was the support provided by the team?
The support team was awesome. Although I purchased the course much before, I didn’t use it at all as I took a break from preparation. However, the team gladly extended my course till my GMAT date upon my request. e-GMAT team rocks!
Thanks Dennis. Would you like to add anything else?
I would like to wish all the fellow e-GMATers the best. Within a week of study using Verbal Online, I was able to obtain a V39. If I decide to retake for a higher score, I would opt for e-GMAT again and spend a bit more time on preparation this time.

Hi Nipun. Heartiest congratulations on scoring 710. How does it feel to reach your target score within a month?
It feels really great actually. I really needed something to help me on the Verbal front, and, I found your course at the right time, I must say.
How was your preparation before e-GMAT?
I gave a couple of mocks when I began my preparation. I realized that Quant is not a problem area for me and that I needed help on the Verbal side of things. I started looking up various online sources, most of the classroom courses were weekend courses. However, I wanted to make the most of the time available at my hand rather than wait till the weekend every week for my preparation.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
I came across e-GMAT on GMAT Club. I took the free trial offered by e-GMAT. I got hooked to the course within 24 hours and I purchased the course.
How did you utilize the course?
When I purchased the course, I received a sheet that details out the course structure and the time recommended to complete each component of the course. I followed it to the dot and made sure to apply the processes taught in the course. Once I gained some confidence after my preparation, I gave some mocks to test my preparation.
How were your scores in the mocks?
Before starting my preparation my mock score was around a 580. However, after completing the course, my mock score rose to a 680. This gave me the confidence that with a little bit more of effort, I can break the 700 barrier.
How was your experience of using the courses?
I liked the way the processes have been inculcated and demonstrated throughout the course. I personally became quite good with RC after going through the course. SC and CR were also quite good, however, I benefitted the maximum from the RC section. Thank you team for the wonderful courses.
Thank you for your words, Nipun. Wish you all the best for your future endeavours.
Thank you team e-GMAT.

Less than 2 weeks for GMAT
Hi Pulkit. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you started your preparation?
I am from an engineering background. Being an engineer, I never faced an issue with Quant. So, for my GMAT, I knew that I had to solely concentrate on Verbal. I started researching on best material available online.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
I came across e-GMAT on GMAT Club. After attending a few demo workshops by e-gmat. I realized e-gmat is the best option available for me. After purchasing the course, I diligently followed the material. This is how I was able to score a 700 in 2 weeks.
What aspects did you like in e-GMAT courses?
I loved the courses – especially the SC course. I can guarantee that no one else can make SC simpler than e-gmat. The audio visual files followed by Short Quizzes for assessing the weaknesses and conceptual gaps was one key aspect that helped me throughout my preparation. The difficulty level of the questions was also fair not too high not too low.
Was Scholaranium helpful to you?
The best part of the course is Scholaranium, which has gold quality questions. One CANNOT go wrong in actual GMAT if he/she has properly utilized Scholaranium.
Would you like to give any advice to your fellow test takers?
I’ll recommend everyone who wants to ace GMAT verbal to go for e-gmat without any hesitation.
Thank you for your kind words, Pulkit. Wish you all the best for your future endeavours.
Thanks to all e-GMAT instructors (Rajat, Payal, Krishna & Shraddha) for their constant support and feedback throughout my preparation.

Looking to cross 700
Hi Rujhan. How does it feel to break the 700 barrier?
It definitely feels great. I am glad I was able to accomplish this in the first attempt itself.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I completed my Mechanical Engineering from Manipal University and I am currently working for Maruti Suzuki. I wanted to do an MBA because I wanted to shift my focus towards Operations Research and be in a managerial position.
What plans did you make to pursue an MBA?
I have attempted the CAT (the management entrance exam in India) a couple of times and even got an admission in a good b-school. However, since the area in which I was interested in lacked focus in that program, I did not opt for it. Eventually, I decided that I would take the GMAT and plan for an MBA abroad.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
I came to know about e-GMAT through one of my friends! So, I did some research about e-GMAT on GMAT Club and immediately realized that your offerings could suit my needs.
Were you skeptical to pay for an educational product online?
Initially, I was. However, after hearing from my friends about the really bad classroom coaches offered in my locality, I dropped off any plans of classroom coaching and started becoming more inclined towards online prep. Another advantage with online prep is that I can easily get in touch with the world’s best instructors who can share their valuable insights into preparation. Finally, after going through the reviews and testimonials given by e-GMAT students, I opted for e-GMAT’s Verbal Live Prep without any further hesitation and I must say I was never disappointed.
What are your thoughts on the Verbal Online course?
Once I became serious about my preparation, I started with SC and I was seriously hooked to the course. I was so impressed with the course I completed all concept files and application files twice just because I enjoyed them very much. CR and RC modules were quite good too. I was able to finish the course within a month with very good grasp on the concepts and applications.
How much did you score in your first mock test?
I scored a 630 in my first mock. However, this mock allowed me to identify the areas that I need to work on. With subsequent efforts in the right areas, I was able to score a 710 on the GMAT.
Thank you Rujhan. Wish you all the very best for your future endeavors.
