Rohit scores a GMAT 730!

Rohit Nair

Hi Rohit. How was your experience using the SC portion of the course?
After finishing just 2 levels of SC course, my verbal score jumped by around 5 points and the number of SC mistakes per mock test dropped from 8 per test to less than 4 per test.
That’s great! How about CR and RC portions?
The CR course really helped get my thought process right and fixed my CR basics problem. The data provided helped me understand that I made 70% of my mistakes in the Weaken and Inference CR questions. This helped me focus on these particular modules to improve my score further.
The RC module was excellent too. The reading strategies helped me decipher complex passages easily.
What other aspects of the course did you like?
I would like to comment on the IR course as well. Not many people focus on IR, but I found that the Integrated Reasoning section of e-GMAT is extremely detailed and covers a large number of problems of varied types. This helped me a lot.
Glad that the course helped you, Rohit. Would you like to add anything else for your fellow test takers?
In less than 4 days, I noticed a considerable improvement in my accuracy while attempting the OG questions. Overall, I would highly recommend the e-GMAT course to EVERY non-native. It’s a wonderful investment for an excellent verbal score.
Thank you Rohit. Wish you all the very best for your future endeavors.
Thank you Team e-GMAT.
Vivian improved from 710 to 770 using e-GMAT Verbal Online

Vivian Xiaowei Liu

Hi Vivian. How does it feel to achieve the dream score of 770?
Feels wonderful. Although it took me quite a bit of effort to achieve this score, its worth every bit and will help me in securing a good admit.
That’s wonderful. Can you tell us a bit about your preparation before you enrolled with e-GMAT?
Before joining e-GMAT, I attempted the GMAT four times with scores of 630, 700, 720 and 710. I studied all the materials available and put in hundreds of hours into my preparation, but still couldn’t improve further.
What made you change your mind about your preparation strategy?
When I couldn’t achieve my target score in my fourth attempt too, I realized that acing the GMAT not only requires hardwork but also requires a proper preparation strategy.  I took a chance with e-gmat and bought the verbal online course. Given the fact that I got big fellowship from a top 15 school, I believe the two hundred dollars is probably the best investment I’ve made so far.
How did e-GMAT help you with your preparation?
The meaning-focused approach prescribed by e-GMAT worked very well for me and I thought it was the most logical way to tackle SC questions. This approach also improved my comprehension skills required for CR and RC as well. I cannot think of any better way to prepare for SC section.
Good to hear that. Did you do anything different regarding your approach towards the exam?
e-GMAT’s free webinars on GMAT Preparation Strategy are priceless! I say so because even if a test taker is proficient in every individual section, he/she may still not be able to achieve his/her best when all three types of questions are mixed together. Moreover, the GMAT is computer adaptive. The webinars addressed so many such useful aspects and equipped me with the right tools to create my own preparation strategy. There’s just so much useful information provided in those webinars.
Thank you for the appreciation, Vivian. We wish you all the very best for your future endeavors.
Thank you e-GMAT. You helped me raise my score from 710 to 770.
Anirudh scored a 720 on the GMAT

Anirudh Sheldekar

Hi Anirudh. Can you tell us a bit about your initial preparation?
Since I have graduated from one of the top engineering colleges in India, I never faced issues with quant section. Without much efforts I was scoring in the range of 49 – 51. However my pain point was the verbal section. I did not have proper structure in place for verbal preparation. Also, I could never develop the confidence of reaching a point where I could say that I would score > 35 in the verbal section despite exhausting my study materials such as Manhattan SC guide, Manhattan CR guide etc.
How did you come across e-GMAT?
I was so frustrated with my struggle to improve in the verbal section that, at one point of time, I even thought of putting my preparation on hold. That is when I stumbled upon e-GMAT Verbal Online course on Facebook. I realized that this course is tailor-made for people like me who are weak in Verbal. I immediately enrolled for the course and even today, I believe that this step single-handedly changed the course of my preparation.
How was the content of the course?
The course provides excellent quality content, I must say. The online video modules cover all the essential topics covered on the GMAT with exhaustive detail and impart methodical processes to be followed to solve any question on the GMAT.
How did Scholaranium help you?
Scholaranium is a very powerful platform to analyse ones performance/progress after one completes certain topics. Additionally it lets you set the topics you would specifically like to be tested on with attributes such as time, sub section, etc. Highly effective in my case. I used it extensively by filtering questions based on the topics I wasn’t good at and started tracking my progress.
How was the support provided by the team?
Any concept or question related queries are addressed in the internal forums. These forums have tons of useful discussions and are a big knowledge repository. Whenever I had a query not related to any doubts, I would mail to the support team and they would provide me with prompt and effective responses. The eGMAT team also provides its users with a study plan. This is also very effective as it defines your goals for the course of your preparation.
Would you like to add anything else?
I have seen ample materials online but none comes close to the quality which eGMAT provides. Also, the verbal online course is priced at a very reasonable rate compared to products offered by eGMAT’s competitors.
Yendru Narendra scored GMAT 720

Yendru Narendra

What made you take the Verbal Live Prep course?
I took the e-GMAT VLP course with the intention of learning GMAT specific tips and tricks to crack the verbal component. However, soon, I realized that the course methodology is far above the simple tricks and is much more focused on building a test taker’s confidence and ability to tackle any verbal question.
How did e-GMAT aid your preparation?
eGMAT verbal not only gives you a comprehensive understanding of the aspects tested on the GMAT but also provides you a structured approach to tackle any surprise that the GMAT can throw. This I feel is a differentiating factor from other courses. I can guarantee you that if you follow the course structure as it is prescribed, you will be sure to achieve your target score.
How was your test day experience?
On the day of my exam, I was down with fever and was feeling miserable. However, I still managed to score a 720 with a V37. The diligent application of the process is what saved me, I believe.
Amazing that you were able to score a 720 while down with a fever. Would you like to say anything to your fellow test-takers?
VLP is the best verbal course for non-natives and one of the best courses for anyone in general. You will not regret it for sure.
Thank you Narendra! Wish you luck for your future endeavors.
Thank you e-GMAT team. You guys rock!
Gautam improves by 100 points and scores a 720 on the GMAT

Gautam Singha

Hi Gautam. Why did you opt for e-GMAT’s Verbal Live Prep course?
After a V30, I realized I needed to improve in the Verbal section. Being a working professional, I could only study for 45-60 minutes a day. So, I needed a course that could provide me the flexibility to prepare at my convenience. That’s when I enrolled in Verbal Live Prep.
Can you tell us a bit about your preparation?
Since I could only study for 45 to 60 mins a day, I prepared my own strategy based on e-GMAT’s first strategy session and followed it using the course materials. I diligently followed the e-GMAT process, specially for RC. I took time to understand the passage and map the passage – rest was easy! After finishing the course, I attended the second strategy session of e-GMAT and understood the concept of TAKT TIME and started implementing it in my mocks.
Were there any other aspects of e-GMAT courses that you’d like to mention?
I absolutely loved the well-structured course. The audio-visual format is a great time saver for working professionals. The live prep sessions were very lively and detail oriented. I can confidently say that e-GMAT course and process played a crucial role in improving my score from V30 to V41.
Thank you, Gautam. We wish you the best for your future endeavors.
Thank you e-GMAT.
