Preparing for the GMAT is akin to handling a complex project with multiple milestones and competing resource requirements.  As a Business Consultant - Customer Success, you will help your client, an e-GMAT student, lead this project so that your client can reach the target GMAT score.  
In this role, you will have the enviable opportunity to transform the strategy created by e-GMAT into lasting success for each of your clients.  Most jobs keep you up at night for all the wrong reasons, but on this one, you will find it hard to go to bed without succeeding at least once a day – success could be the news of your client’s admit to the dream B-school or the news of your client reaching that target score or crossing that dream score in a Mock or changing your client’s demeanor from being dejected to being hopeful – remember – every small success of your client is your success.

e-GMAT is on a mission to make online test prep for diligent students more effective than studying with a private tutor; in fact, we are well on our way on this mission. We plan to achieve this by building technology that, when combined with our teaching pedagogy, makes learning more effective and personal, powering customer success. The stupendous success of our students is a testament to the success of our strategy and of 10-years of investment in pedagogy and technology. Two metrics demonstrate this success:

  1.  700+ scores verified: We have delivered more 700+ scores – about 10X as many as the average GMAT Club partner.  In fact, in 2021, we delivered 55% of all 700+ scores reported on the GMAT Club. Students from the remaining 9 nine partners together accounted for 45% of the scores.
  2. Success rate: Statistically, only 10% of students score 700+. However, our Last Mile Push program has a success rate of 80% and a median score of 725. A majority of the 20% who fail end up being successful in a subsequent attempt. Bottom line – we have created a system that practically ensures success if you hit our internal metrics. 

3. Key Responsibilities

  1. Create the perfect learning path, leveraging data, making success predictable for your client 
    As a part of the Strategy & Operations team, your primary job will be to ensure the success of students who have demonstrated their diligence. By reviewing client activities and  data, you will give him/her appropriate guidance in the form of hyper-specific improvement plans such that he/she is equipped to succeed.

    In addition, you would also be responsible for analyzing their failed attempts on the test to ensure rapid improvement and success henceforth in their next attempt. Your goal as a business consultant would be to ensure that the client stays true to his path to success and is not anxious during his preparation. You act as the their performance coach too.

  2. Product Development and Service Operations 
    A GMAT aspirant makes 30+ decisions during his preparation. A single incorrect decision has the potential to reduce the likelihood of success. To ensure that students make logical decisions, you will conduct webinars with the goal of providing the right information at the right time. These webinars and the corresponding learnings and success also act as inputs to product enhancements. 

    You will also be projecting the success you create as a thought leader on different online platforms through interviews, posts, and blogs. At e-GMAT, you’d be creating brand value for success.

  3. Enhance Operation Workflows 
    Working with product & program management, technology, and design teams, you will identify opportunities for process improvement, opportunities that either improve clients’ workflows or yours or both. Once approved, you will then define and implement these opportunities to create impact within the team and outside of it too.

    You will have the autonomy to lead and drive projects to fruition.  These results will bear fruit in terms of the exponential learning curve you’d have working with experienced professionals.

4. Key Skills

We are looking at candidates with experience of at least 1 year. You must have an undergraduate degree, with proven academic record as indicated by a solid GPA. Other than that, we are looking for someone who has:

  1.  A logical, data-oriented, and analytical mindset
  2. Exceptional communication skills – both written and spoken
  3. Excellent presentation and communication skills
  4. Solid command over the English language
  5. Demonstrated willingness to learn and go above and beyond

4.1 Extra credit

The following are not required. but you get extra credit for the same:

  1. Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree from a top undergraduate university
  2. Stellar scores in one or more of GMAT/GRE/SAT/ACT
  3. Prior teaching/mentoring work experience
  4. Relevant Work Experience by Industry: Start-ups, Consulting, Technology (Includes ed-tech)
  5. Relevant Work Experience by Profile: Business Analyst, Project Manager, Associate Consultant, Knowledge Analyst, Product Manager, Program Manager (Can be an associate for any of the above roles)
  6. Preferred Schools: IITs/IIMs/BITS/FMS/XLRI/MDI/ISB

1. Compensation

Commensurate with experience and at par with the best in the industry.

  • Fixed component: INR Upto 14 LPA
  • Performance Bonus:  INR –Upto 6 LPA 

2. Location 

  • Remote (Currently because of Covid) 
  • Delhi or Bangalore (post-Covid)
