In this choice, X = <em>was considering<\/em>\u2026 is a verb phrase while Y = <em>assessing the accuracy<\/em>\u2026 is a noun phrase and therefore, they are not grammatically parallel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. \u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\">SV Make Sense Error<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">In this choice, <em>to consider<\/em> has been changed to <em>considering<\/em>.\u00a0 With this change, the choice seems to suggest that the <em>purpose<\/em> itself <em>was considering<\/em> something (<strong>an action<\/strong>). But the original sentence says that the <em>purpose<\/em> <em>was to consider<\/em> something (<strong>an intent<\/strong>). So, the intended purpose of the sentence is lost in this choice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. \u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\">Parallelism Error leading to Meaning Error<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">With the usage of <em>and<\/em>, we see a forced parallel list in the sentence. This list distorts the meaning of the sentence. The two <em>which<\/em> clauses are made parallel in this choice. According to this forced list, the predictions were made in a similar meeting, and the predictions took place 50 years ago. The information given by the second entity in the parallel list is incorrect because from the original sentence we know that the conference of this kind took place 50 years ago, not the predictions.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>Choice C<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Incorrect<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. \u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\">Parallelism Error<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.71429;\">This choice too repeats the parallelism error of Choice A. This time X = <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.71429;\">considering the prospects<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.71429;\">\u2026 is a noun phrase and Y = <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.71429;\">to assess the accuracy<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.71429;\">\u2026 is a \u2018to verb\u2019 phrase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. \u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\">SV Make Sense Error<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">This choice has the same SV make sense error present in choice B<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3.<strong style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"> \u00a0Parallelism Error<\/strong><strong style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\">leading to Meaning Error<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">This choice also repeats the parallelism error of Choice B.
