Raunak, a Chartered Accountant with four years of experience in investment banking, had to juggle long working hours and weekend commitments while preparing for the GMAT. He admits, &#8220;Managing both work and studies together felt like a big challenge.&#8221; Despite these challenges, Raunak decided to push forward. He took a strategic break after his 730 score to reassess his approach, which proved to be a pivotal decision. Initially, managing time in the Verbal section was a significant challenge, as he often found himself rushing through questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"3-critical-reasoning-mastery\">Critical Reasoning Mastery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Raunak focused on improving his Critical Reasoning (CR) and Reading Comprehension (RC) skills, two areas where he initially struggled. He credits e-GMAT\u2019s pre-thinking approach for his substantial improvement in CR. This method helped him streamline his thought process, reduce the time spent on each question, and increase his accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>&#8220;Once I internalized the <a href=\"https:\/\/e-gmat.com\/blogs\/how-to-prethink-assumptions-gmat-cr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">pre-thinking process<\/a>, solving CR questions became much easier,&#8221; Raunak explained.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"4-impressive-gains-in-reading-comprehension\">Impressive Gains in Reading Comprehension<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Reading Comprehension, Raunak employed strategies taught in <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.e-gmat.com\/sign-up-free-trial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">e-GMAT&#8217;s<\/a> Master Comprehension course, which significantly boosted his performance. His RC accuracy improved from 60th to 75th percentile, and he reduced his time per question to under two minutes. The data clearly reflected his progress: Raunak&#8217;s accuracy in advanced algebra and geometry improved from 60% to 90%.
