marked as shown. &nbsp;The subject for clause 2 is a verb-ing phrase \u2013 stalking them and getting close\u2026This sentence has 2 errors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Pronoun Number Error<\/span>: &nbsp;The pronoun \u201cit\u201d refers to \u201cCaribou\u201d, which in this case is plural. &nbsp;As you can see in Clause 1, verb is plural for the subject \u2013 caribou. &nbsp;Thus, the pronoun \u201cit\u201d should also be plural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Punctuation Error<\/span>: &nbsp;The list of subjects \u2013 stalking.., getting\u2026should be connected using \u201cand\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-answer-choice-analysis\">Answer Choice Analysis:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<address>Choice B: &nbsp;Caribou are wary animals with excellent hearing, so to stalk them over the treeless landscape and get close enough to kill one with nothing but a handheld lance, as Dorset people did, required exceptional hunting skill.<\/address>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">No errors<\/span>. &nbsp;The subject in this sentence is \u2013 To stalk\u2026and get close. &nbsp;Note that \u201cto\u201d is considered common for second element. &nbsp;Also notice that pronoun \u201cit\u201d has been changed into \u201cone\u201d. &nbsp;Here \u201cone\u201d means \u201cone of Caribou\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<address>Choice C: &nbsp;Caribou are wary animals with excellent hearing, so in order to stalk them over the treeless landscape and get close enough to kill one with nothing but a handheld lance, as Dorset people did, required exceptional hunting skill.<\/address>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Fragment Error<\/span>: &nbsp;Clause 2 lacks a subject. &nbsp;By converting \u201cto stalk\u201d to \u201cin order to stalk\u201d, the subject no longer exists. &nbsp;Even though the meaning of \u201cin order to verb\u201d and \u201cto verb\u201d is similar, their grammatical usage is different. &nbsp;For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>In order to lose weight, you must exercise.<\/li><li>To lose weight requires exercise.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<address>Choice D: &nbsp;Caribou are wary animals with excellent hearing, and so in order to stalk it over the treeless landscape, getting close enough to kill it with nothing but a handheld lance, as Dorset people did, required exceptional hunting skill.<\/address>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Pronoun Number error<\/span>: Similar to Choice A<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Fragment Error<\/span>: &nbsp;Missing Subject as in Choice C<\/p>\n\n\n\n<address>Choice E: &nbsp;Caribou are wary animals with excellent hearing, and so stalking them over the treeless landscape and getting close enough in order to kill it with nothing but a handheld lance, as Dorset people did, required exceptional hunting skill.<\/address>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Redundancy Error<\/span>: &nbsp;Use of \u201cand\u201d prior to \u201cso\u201d is not required. &nbsp;Comma + so can connect two independent clauses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Pronoun Error<\/span>: &nbsp;Similar to choice C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Thus, Choice B is the correct answer.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-what-are-the-key-take-away-messages\">What are the key take-away messages?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Pronoun-antecedent must agree in number.<\/li><li>\u201cIn order to verb\u201d and \u201cto verb\u201d are used in a sentence in different grammatical ways. &nbsp;\u201cTo verb\u201d can act as noun and hence can act as subject of the sentence. &nbsp;\u201cIn order to\u201d cannot act as a subject of the sentence.<\/li><li>Comma + FANBOYS can be used to
