Mid east immigrants\u2019 rate of entrepreneurship<\/li><li>Element 2 \u2013 Every other immigrant group<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, rate is being compared to immigrant group. &nbsp;This is improper comparison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Modifier Error<\/span> \u2013 The term \u2013 Mideast immigrants is not correct because in this expression \u201cMideast\u201d is being used as an adjective but it is expression in its noun form. &nbsp;The correct expression is Mideastern immigrants. &nbsp;Or it should be Immigrants from Mideast. &nbsp;As another example, we say \u2013 Asian people; we do not say Asia people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-answer-choice-analysis\">Answer Choice Analysis:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice A: <\/span> Parallelism &amp; modifier Error<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice B:<\/span> This choice has 3 errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Modifier Error<\/span> as noted in choice A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Parallelism Error:<\/span> The comparison in this choice is also faulty since rates of entrepreneurship are being compared to immigrant group. &nbsp;This is similar to choice A<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Verb Tense Error<\/span>: &nbsp;The present continuous verb tense is incorrect since the original sentence states a fact. &nbsp;By using this verb tense, it implies that this is a continuous action, and this is non-sensical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice C<\/span>: &nbsp;No error. &nbsp;In this sentence the comparison is established between logically parallel entities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Element 1 \u2013 rate of entrepreneurship<\/li><li>Element 2 \u2013 rate of entrepreneurship of every other immigrant group<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice D: <\/span> This choice has <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">parallelism error<\/span> as in Choices A and B<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice E<\/span>: &nbsp;This choice has 2 errors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Modifier Error<\/span> as noted in Choice A<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">SV-Number Error<\/span> \u2013 The singular subject \u2013 rates \u2013 does not agree in number with the singular verb \u2013 exceeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, Choice C is the correct answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-what-are-the-key-take-away-messages\">What are the key take-away messages?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Comparison must be established in a manner such that the elements being compared are both logically and grammatically parallel.<\/li><li>Pay close attention to the role that a word plays in the sentence.
