demanding<\/li><li>Clause 2: &nbsp;even if able to afford household appliances<\/li><li>Clause 3: &nbsp;their grandparents would find a miracle.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>1. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Missing Subject Error<\/span>: &nbsp;Clause 2 of this sentence lacks a subject. &nbsp;From the meaning of the sentence, the subject of this clause should be \u201cpeople\u201d or pronoun referring to these people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Modifier Error<\/span>: &nbsp;Clause 3 is connected to clause using \u201cthat\u201d that has been omitted. &nbsp;Thus, in a way \u201ctheir grandparents would find a miracle\u201d is describing \u201chousehold appliances\u201d. &nbsp;Thus, miracle should be miraculous \u2013 the adjective form.Their grandparents would find \u201chousehold appliances\u201d miraculous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-answer-choice-analysis\">Answer Choice Analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice B<\/span> \u2013 This choice has <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">modifier error<\/span> as noted in choice A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice C<\/span> \u2013 No errors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice D<\/span> \u2013 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Verb Tense Error<\/span>: &nbsp;The sentence is set up in present context of time. &nbsp;Thus, use of \u201ccould afford\u201d \u2013 past tense is incorrect. &nbsp;Similarly, the verb tense \u201cwould find\u201d is incorrect. &nbsp;This verb tense should be \u201cwould have verb\u201d. &nbsp;This is because the sentence states a hypothetical condition. &nbsp;These appliances did not exist in the times of grandparents. &nbsp;But per the sentence if these appliances had existed at that time, then the grandparents would have found them miraculous. &nbsp;By using \u201cwould verb\u201d tense, the sentence now implies that if grandparents saw these appliances being used today, they will find them miraculous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice E <\/span>\u2013 This choice is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">wordy<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, choice C is the correct answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-what-are-the-key-take-away-messages\">What are the key take-away messages?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Every verb in the sentence must have a subject.<\/li><li>Appropriate modifier should be used to describe an entity. &nbsp;In this sentence adjective form of \u201cmiracle\u201d is required to describe the household appliances.<\/li><li>Appropriate verb tense should be
