&#8220;of brain&#8221; modifies &#8220;bony house&#8221; and hence cannot be placed anywhere else.<\/li><li>It makes complete sense to say that bony house of brain is cranium.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thus, there is no modifier error. &nbsp;However, this sentence has awkward construction with regards to this modifier &#8211; it would be better to say &#8220;cranium, which is the bony house of brain&#8221; because the modifier typically contains descriptive information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-answer-choice-analysis\">Answer Choice Analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Choice B<\/span> \u2013 This choice has three errors as noted below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Redundant <\/span>\u2013 \u201cknowledge that scientists know\u201d is redundant expression<\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Punctuation <\/span>error \u2013 \u201cthat is, the cranium\u201d = The verb is unnecessarily separated from the object by comma<\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Modifier <\/span>\u201cthat is, the cranium\u201d distorts the intended meaning = Per the original sentence, cranium is the bony house of brain.
