In this release, we have evaluated data from more than 50,000 ability quizzes, compared the same with numerous ESRs and have improved the precision of ability estimates.<\/p>\n

Scholaranium \u2013 GMAT Club\u2019s most loved quizzing platform<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Scholaranium has played a huge role in student\u2019s success since its launch in 2015. Since then, thirty thousand students have answered more than 9M questions, and taken more than 200,000+ ability quizzes and 350,000+ custom quizzes.<\/strong> The platform\u2019s daily traffic has grown from 2000 question attempts per day in 2015 to more than 15,000 question attempts per day today.     Release Nov 2018 \u2013 Make ability estimates more precise<\/h2>\n

    At e-GMAT, we always look to improve. Till now, anyone who used to take any ability quiz was provided a percentage score, which was a weighted average of all the questions, of varying difficulty, which the student got correct in the test.\u00a0After seeing this score, the student might wonder, is 70% good or bad or decent?<\/p>\n

    So, to help the student understand his performance better, we have decided to show the student his percentile instead of the percentage score!<\/p>\n

    Now, your ability score is percentile ranking or how you rank amongst the spectrum of GMAT test takers. For example, students who get a weighted average score of 70 on Sentence Correction ability quiz will now see their ability score to be 84 percentile, indicating that they have managed to perform better than 84 percent of the students who take the test. Similarly, combining the ability scores from Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension, the student can estimate their Verbal ability scores (or verbal score out of 60).<\/p>\n

    While this may seem like a small change, this change will give students insights about their performance and will help them plan their preparation better.<\/p>\n
