A sentence is not complete without a verb and its subject.&nbsp; typically, verbs denote the action performed by the subject. &nbsp;&nbsp; For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The clock <strong>ticks<\/strong> all day long.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cticks\u201d is an action verb here as the clock us the doer of the action.
