There are three main skills that you need to solve SC questions.

• Understanding of grammatical rules as tested on GMAT. Our error concepts are designed to do the same. We cover all 6 error categories including Subject-Verb, Verb, Pronouns, Modifiers, Parallelism, and Idioms in 25 error concepts.
• Standardized approach to solving questions. Our application files are designed to help you learn the technique of approaching SC questions in a methodical manner. There are 9 application files dispersed throughout the course.

OG12 and OG verbal guides are integral parts of our course. We highly recommend that after every application file you attempt the prescribed list of questions from OG12. Even if you have attempted these questions in the past, you must do them again – the difference is that this time you will apply the e-GMAT process to solve those questions. Both these courses are designed using the same e-Learning principles. However, considering the difference in the subject matter, their final design and layout are different.
Similarities

• Both courses contain audio-visual content.
• Both courses contain diagnostic tests and level qualifying exercises at each level.
• Both courses contain concept files and application files.

Differences

• In SC, the concept file contains both pre-assessment and post-assessment quiz. In CR, the concept file contains only the post-assessment quiz. This is why CR post assessment quiz has more number of questions than a SC post assessment quiz.
• In SC, the application file begins with a quiz, followed by detailed solutions. In CR, the application file begins with solved examples, followed by a post-assessment quiz with detailed solutions
• SC contains UGE. CR does not contain UGE. For CR, we believed that more in-place learning is more effective. Thus, instead of providing questions at two places – My Dashboard & UGE, we made the "My Dashboard" content more heavily loaded with questions.

With regard to UGE, for CR course we followed a slightly different approach than the SC course. For SC course we realized that not many customers accessed the UGE. So we felt that our customers are not getting the needed practice. Therefore, for CR, we loaded the course with more questions in the concept files and the level qualifying exercises, so that people can practice all the necessary content. For CR we do not plan to release UGEs. But we plan to add more questions in the "My Dashboard" area itself.

Our team of experts has thoroughly analyzed Official Guide questions to understand the essence behind them. Using this as baseline, the team has created all questions on e-GMAT.

To prepare for Sentence Correction & Critical Reasoning, you need e-GMAT SC course, e-GMAT CR course, and official guides. In addition, after you complete the preparation, you must take full-length tests from sources such as GMAT Prep, Manhattan GMAT, Knewton, & Grockit.

As such the number of questions provided in the two courses is sufficient, especially if the Official Guide questions are also included in the study plan. Technically, you have access to the entire course, but you will be able to access the higher levels only after you achieve the pre-requisite score for that level. This score requirement is specified in the right hand top corner in the "My Dashboard" page. You should obtain this score in diagnostic test or level qualifying exercises.

Course validity of 186 days means that you will have access to the course for a period of 6 months. This validity period starts from the date you purchase the course.

All our concepts have a similar structure. These are audio-visual files with interactivity.

We measure success in verbal sections by accuracy "improvement", which we define as the number of questions that you correctly answer in a mock exam. In addition we also ask our customers to track the improvement in average time that they spend to answer questions in their mocks.
Most students start the e-GMAT course with 50%-70% accuracy levels, which means that they answer 7-9 out of 14 questions in their mock tests correctly. After completing the course, these students increase their accuracy to 80%+ levels or answer 11+ questions, out of 14, correctly.
This accuracy improvement means different things to different people; for example, we had one customer who increased his verbal score by 16 points and he attributed most of it to our course. He started with a very low verbal score.
The score improvement that we see on average is about 30 points (out of 800), especially if your verbal scaled score is 35 (out of60) or less.

Instead of relying heavily on grammar rules, we provide a structured way of approaching these questions. This happens if you do not exit from the concept in the correct manner. There are two ways to exit. One is the correct way and the other is the wrong way. Use the correct way to ensure that your score registers in the system.

Revisions are very easy with e-GMAT concept files. Follow the following steps:

1. Open the concept file.
2. Pause the file.
3. Click on the rectangular box placed in the bottom right hand corner of the player window. By clicking this, you will toggle through multiple views of the concept file. Select the view that shows slide sorter on the left hand side.
4. Scroll down the list to find the slide that you want to review.
5. Click on the slide.
